Leading low-cost airline Thai Vietjet to operate SG-Bangkok, Phuket flights
(Bangkok, March 31, 2022) – Further enhancing regional connectivity, Thai Vietjet, a leading Thai low-cost airline based at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, announced its new international services from Singapore to Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok, starting from April 28, 2022, also direct flight connecting Singapore and Phuket, starting from June 2, 2022.

In the beginning, the new international service Singapore – Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) will operate 3 flights a week every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, while the direct service from Singapore to Phuket will operate with a frequency of 2 flight a week every Thursday and Sunday,and following flight schedule:
Recently,the airline successfully commenced its maiden flight from Bangkok to Phnom Penh, as well as the resumption of international flight service between Bangkok and Da Nang, while also maintaining steady service and boosting flight frequency between Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, travel restriction for international travelers entering Thailand has been lifted. From April 1, 2022, travelers entering Thailand are only required to purchase Covid-19 insurance with the coverage value of only US$20,000 (previously US$50,000), while negative result of RT-PCR before departure and the RT-PCR test on Day 5 in Thailand in no longer required.
Thai Vietjet has total of 16 aircraft in the fleet, including 10 Airbus A320-200 and 6 Airbus A321-200, and plans to add more by the end of the year. Thai Vietjet’s fleet has increased by 433% within six years, given the fact that the airline began operations with three aircraft in 2016, emphasizing the airline’s success as ‘The Fastest Growing Low-cost Carrier of the Year’ awarded by Global Business Outlook Magazine in 2020.
With an average age of 5 years, Thai Vietjet’s fleet has been recognized as the world’s youngest and most modern commercial fleet, with On Time Performance Rate (OTP) of 97.29%, Technical Reliability of 99.73%, and total accumulated passengers nearly 11 Million passengers.
In parallel with flight network expansion, the airline introduced its official loyalty program SkyFUN with new ‘FUN Coin’ concept, offering its passengers a whole new experience with valued benefits from the airline itself and travel partners throughout the region. The virtual FUN Coins of loyalty program aims to enhance passengers’ experience with three different member tiers, including Silver, Gold and Platinum, which enable all members to enjoy different benefits and privileges according to their membership tiers.
