First Night in Singapore
Few weeks ago, I finally put my passport to good use and travelled abroad for a few days. I am glad I spent my first international trip in Singapore. Minus the unlimited walking, getting lost (Hehe!) and making my colleagues anxious with me, my trip there happened as something I imagined for. We rode their buses which are different from I use to ride every other day, their trains and skytrains, and awed with their transportation system. Sometimes it will make us happy to realize that commuting early morning can be not that stressful and there is still a speck of light that someday, we will achieve that.
We left Manila by roughly 5pm, and we arrived 4 hours after. What’s good of having able to do this is the Singapore city lights that you will arrive to. If you have seen my Teaser Vlog (which I know I have to improve), I was happy as a child when I saw their city lights. Lols.
If I was awed with their city lights, you should have seen me praising every corner of their airport. How can be a place on earth is as clean, as advanced and as beautiful as Changi Airport. Our arrival there was made extraordinary with a fellow Filipino at Changi Recommends generously giving us complimentary tickets for Universal Studios. Tactless of me not to get her name, but our hearts are screaming with delight and love for that kababayan.
This display made me feel nostalgic about being a Potterhead! Do you remember a Harry Potter movie scene on this photo?
In the airport, we also claimed our Tourist Pass plus which would allow us an unlimited access to their LRT, MRT and buses, purchased ticket for a Night Tour which we set for the third night and got my 7-day Singapore sim card which I booked through KKDay to be able to connect to the internet. We stayed at Lai Ming Hotel Cosmoland in Aljuneid. Our way there is so funny because Egong is in the other taxi with her sister Egang, while me, Vian and Vida who doesn’t know the place ever is in another taxi. Initially, we had a difficulty in making the driver understand where our place is but at the end, gestures and making him call the hotel helped a lot. Thank you so much, Mr. Driver, we made it to our beds! Lol.
The hotel is cosy and very clean as we want for our place to be. The breakfast breads are tasty, as well as their brewed coffee. My friend told me her boss’ daughter who is living in Singapore booked it for us because most Filipino tourists stay in the place. True enough, when we got there, there are lot of Pinoys and even Bisaya like us. It feels like we are only in the Philippines. It was looong night for we talked so much how our Day 1 went. There are only five of us but we were so loud, it is impossible for boredom to make it through. And oh, by the way, I gained two new friends who I clicked with instantly.
