Things I consider in online shopping

Ever since online shops grown from its small number and has strengthened its policy and guidelines, gaining the trust of many people, I can say that I myself have been hooked to this kind of shopping, especially for busy days that going to department stores is not possible anymore. Honestly, before going to physical stores after office, I imagine the limited time and eventually become anxious because I have to be fast in selecting the items that I need, sacrificing the chance to check the quality and reasonableness of price.

This is the main reason that for days I am so occupied, I opt for online shops. Of course, there are few points that I have to think about before doing it. These are as follows:

1. I have to put in mind that what should I check out are goods that I need and intend to buy first hand. Hence, before I log in to online shops, I have to list all the items that I have to purchase. This make me be reminded of the reasons why I am in these online shops firstly at this very period, and not just burn money.

2. Scheduling when a particular item is mostly needed. This has to be considered because I have to remember that delivery of items may take 3-5 business days. For example, just recently I checked out a Hair Curler for a special event which will happen next week. I saw that from that day I planned on checking out, there is still ten days range before the event would happen, so I am confident I can use it on a purpose the Hair Curler is purchased for.

Good thing also about purchasing online is the discounts. Imagine, from P1,100.00 Hair Curler, it is already Php150.00 because it’s on sale. What a bargain! I guess, it must be the perfect time to purchase one.

3. Properly inspecting the delivered items. Once it is delivered, customers should inspect if it works properly, is with exact identification such as the brand, color and other specification. Check if it is the right item being transact online, or else, there is a need to request for return and refund.

4. Choosing a payment method that is convenient for us. If not all, most online shops require buyers to pay via Credit or Debit Cards, PayPal, Over-the-Counter payments and Cash on Delivery. For me, I prefer the last. Cash on Delivery makes it possible that you literally receive what you paid for. Yes, I am not saying other payment method is somewhat questionable because these are also proven and tested. However, for over-caring people like me who see things in an OC way, Cash on Delivery payment method is convenient for us.
