I got to visit The Boulevard of Balingasag. It is located at the seaside of Balingasag town in Misamis Oriental, just few kilometers away from Jasaan. Thank you so much to a friend who was patient enough to accompany me here (and took my photos as well! Haha), since I was so eager to visit this place the moment I saw a photo of their pink benches on Instagram.
In years back, I encountered this place along my participation on Division Schools Press Conference, an inter-school writing competition) when I was still in high school. Started that time, I am so lucky to be in the place year after year. Fortunate of me, because it is just 30-minute ride from my hometown.
Near this place are restaurants offering seafoods (in romantic candle light!), Balingasag People’s Palace, St. Rita’s College of Balingasag (My mom’s college!) and several others. Moreover, the park fronting this place is as well a destination, both residents and tourist.
Irene, how much is the fare to Balingasag now?
Hi Sir Vic! We rode a personal motorcycle going there, but I think if you ride a jeepney or a bus, it’s P50.00.
